2015 in Blogging

Lately I’ve been reading quite a lot of anual and monthly reports from various bloggers, which helped me learn more about blogging. This is why, I would like to share my anual report with you as well as some comments about what helped me increase the number of views:

  • posting frequently
  • interacting with other bloggers
  • I made a Facebook and Twitter account for my page and I use them to promote new blog posts
  • I joined Facebook groups which are made for promoting your website (try promote your website, drifters unite travel bloggers, travel blogs promotion, the aspiring travel writer, awesome bloggers)
  •  organising the content of my blog better- people will tend not to read the full article if they see a huge block of text. Separate paragraphs with pictures and keep it concise.

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2015 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,900 times in 2015. If it were a cable car, it would take about 32 trips to carry that many people.
