Whitstable Castle was originally a residence, in the late eighteen century. At first, it was known as the Tankerton Towers but Whitstable Castle certainly attracts our attention more.
It is quite small and it looks more like a noble residence than a castle, but in any case, it is beautiful and it is definitely a must see if you are around the Kent area.
The place is nowadays a great venue for weddings and other events, it has a cossy coffee shop and some really nice views: the Whitstable Castle Gardens, which are rich in flowers and all sorts of plants. Some of the rooms are open to visitors but you are only allowed to visit them when the reception is open, so it is better to send them an email or check the website before you go, especially if you are going there just for the castle.
