Coastal Towns: Whitstable

Sea food lovers, this one is for you. Whitstable is famous for the quality of the oysters and there is even an annual oyster festival going on here. The town has been famous for its oysters since Roman times so in case you are around, this is a meal you must try.

Whitstable is a coastal town, on the south east coast of England. The town is part of Kent and it is located in the northern part of the county. Swimming and sunbathing are some of the things you can do in summer here. The town is great to visit in Spring, Autumn and Winter too, but because it is located on the coast you have to bear in mind that is windy and cold. However, sightseeing is something you can do in Whitstable all year round, as well as visiting Whitstable Castle, having fish and chips or some ales by the seaside and going for walk on the high street.
